New Yorkers would like to give the people behind these rankings a "pizza" their mind.
The travel site TripAdvisor issued a list of the Top 10 cities for pizza - and New York came in fourth.
The Big Apple's best pie makers - like Di Fara's, Totonno's and John's of Bleecker Street - apparently didn't stack up to the pizzas prepped in culinary destinations like San Diego, Las Vegas, and Boston, which represent the top three.
Chicago didn't even make the list.
But reached on the phone, the manager of Bronx Pizza in San Diego said there is no comparison.

Wooster Street, New Haven, CT. Period! Ok, maybe Modern Pizza. On State St New Haven. Tolli’s in East Haven rocks, too. And, Las Veagad? PAHlease!
Right on. New Haven has incredible pizza for a small city.
Ya seen one pizza ya seen ‘em all.
Does Godfather’s Pizza still exist? The two locations in my area closed at least eight-ten years ago, and I don’t see their TV commercials anymore. Clarification - I never much cared for their pizza.
I can tell you the city with the crappiest pizza; that’s Houston.
Once Sala’s on Hawthorne Blvd in Hawthorne closed, the worlds best pizza disappeared from the earth never to return. Any current pizza contest is for the runner-up spot.
Sally’s.
Pepe’s.
Bar.
Abate.
Freepers know their pizza town. Boston? Sheesh. Harvard sucks dead goats.
Yes, Pup, Lost Wages...Anthony’s New York Pizza and Deli...Downtown Las Vegas. 2nd best to Pete’s Pizza Company in Daytona, FL.
Get out, and travel a bit. I’d love to hit Consiglios’ joint, but I haven’t ventured that far nor’east....
Cheers!
I guess that’s why there are so many places selling New York style and Chicago deep dish. Why copy the best when you can be number four! Or just not on the list.
Harvard isn’t located in Boston, just sayin.
Used to live in Vegas in the late 80’s early 90’s....nary a decent pizza forever. Nice to know they finally got their act together.
Sally’s and Pepe’s. heaven!
New York Pizza Dept. Goodyear, AZ - yes, Goodyear, AZ - They match their water chemistry with Finger Lakes water - best crust I’ve ever had -
My aunt makes a fantastic homemade supreme type pizza. Has been since the mid 70s from when I first remember them.
Flying Pie, Boise, ID. Try the Zambini, it is a masterpiece
but if you’re really brave go for the triple habanero

I think people’s concept of good pizza has changed because they dont know what good pizza is..... It’s taken me 20 years to find a good pizza outside of nyc and I found it in of all places, Charleston SC. When I tell people to go there, they’ve never heard of it and direct me to a “better” place that inevitably sucks Obama balls.
