One of Karen Goulds first acts as president of Brooklyn College was to thrust $107,000 into creating a new school logo because the old clock-tower silhouette was supposedly too phallic looking, insiders said.
Just months after Gould took the helm of the institution in 2009 as its first woman president, the college hired Baltimore-based Neustadt Creative Marketing to draft a new logo and redo the Web site.
The company soon cut all visual references to the seminal symbol of the La Guardia Hall tower, erected in the 1930s.
The new logo was all words: Brooklyn College in large type, with The City University of New York in smaller letters.
The design firm, which was hired without a bidding process or request for proposals, claims its work was cutting-edge.

There was a time when anyone who spent an institution, or company’s money for that kind of reason, would be fired.

I'm not the only guy saying this, a lot of people are noticing it as well. Remember: This is New York city, the liberal sphincter hole of the east coast that made a "memorial" to the 911 victims by constructing two toilet bowls that look like they are being flushed. Was there a problem with making fountains that go up?
To me this whole thing stinks of a setup and I don't trust anything coming out of that pisshole of a city. I grew up and lived there my whole life until I finally got smart and moved last year, I know exactly how that city works when it comes to underhanded leftist crap.
