A woman reportedly tried to hand her husband his shotgun when she accidentally shot and killed him inside their Arizona home.
Police say Gary Wingate was fatally wounded in the torso when the gun discharged as his wife handed it to him at his request. The 56-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene in Prescott Valley, Ariz.
Phoenix New Times reports that according to a brief from Prescott Valley police, Wingate's wife told police that they were inside the home when her husband asked for the shotgun for an undisclosed reason.
According to police, "While it appears to be an accident, this death will be investigated as a homicide until a final ruling can be found based on a completed investigation."
Wingate's wife reportedly was not comfortable handling a firearm, but told police she did what her husband asked, according to ABC15.com.
I hope this doesn’t hold up in court. She would have been laughed out of court some years ago but nowadays?
Say, where can I get some a them heat seekin bullets? Might save me a few bucks if I didn’t need to get range time anymore.

When someone hands you a gun barrel first it’s time to stop the process and provide a little instruction. Starting with a firm “DON’T POINT THAT AT ME!”
