I agree with your post. I should have clarified further. I meant non-public people to look up to, and people’s own families. I’ve seen the show multiple times and have enjoyed it. I’m not bashing the show, merely I’m stating people should look closer to home for people to look up to. Thanks for the post.

I got you! Iam not an avid fan of the show. It is obvious that the inane scenarios are scripted. But compared to the vast wasteland of American TV, it is a breath of fresh air. I, too, have watched Deadliest Catch. I feel the first seasons were less contrived. I hurt when Captain Phil died.
They are actually risking their lives in the harshest of climates for fortune.

The only reality show I ever want to see is one that exposes the press for the censoring commie propaganda POS morons they are. They are they ONLY reason we got this commie slimebag in the White house right now.

I watched part of one this morning. They each live in their own huge house [they’re all millionaires. Their wives are good looking, normal looking.
One of the guys had a tuxedo made of camo material carrying a walking stick with a silver duck handle. Driving a Rolls Royce with a mallard duck on the hood.
Yeah... I still don’t see the appeal.

The show is a showcase of WHITE American values...the values our fore fathers relied upon to make the USA a great nation prior to the liberal agenda that ratchet up with Johnson and up to the lazy ass welfare state we have today...

I did notice that they must be racis’ cause I don’t see any black folks working at the shop or any of them married to one. Sure sign of racis’ tendencies.
I just don’t get any of the reality shows... every single thing is scripted out, with fake controversy, fake arguments, it’s all for the camera...
and all these supposed real, “salt of the earth” characters on History channel now, Swamp thing and all that crap..
I am sick and tired of all of it. The only thing real about all these shows is the accents of the characters. Other than that, I am not buying it. not for a minute.

The patriarch, Phil, played college football at Louisiana Tech with Terry Bradshaw....(& Phil was quite good)
But he threw it all off to build a modest home in the woods and swamps of Louisiana so he could hunt and hone his skills.
He invented a 'duck call' that is very popular with hunters and has amassed a fortune from this little invention.
He has stayed true to himself.....(you should hear his Christian testimony) and his sons are unique men!
We get a big kick out of this show!
Maybe it's not everyone's cup of tea....but you shouldn't put it down either.
These are self made men....who hunt their own food....give charitably ....honor God, their wives and children and believe in the free market.
What's not to like?
