I have seen this running today on FOX and I think it's creepy. So you get a 'testing kit' and send it off to a lab??? To find out about myself?

What’s REALLY creepy are the Al Jazeera ads plastered all over piratically every TV show on every cable channel.

I would be interested, but not at $100 a pop.

I am of English/German/Irish heritage, but somehow ended up with O+ blood type. I’m curious as to whether there might be some American Indian genes in there, from back in the 17th Century, or ... who knows?

O+ doesn’t necessarily mean you have heritage in addition to the ones you listed.

O+ is a universal blood group found in all races.

I read somewhere long ago that of all people, it’s a 50-50 split on if they think Flo is hot or not.

I see your “not” vote and hereby nullify it with my “hot” vote.

Lookin’ good, Flo! (Lookin’ reeeal good.)

They need to flush Aunt Flo; there’s something unsanitary about her...maybe it’s the unnaturally red lips.

I agree. Also am I the only one who would like to stomp on that faggy sounding gecko?

I had the opportunity to have my DNA checked for no charge at Ancestry.com. I was going to do it until I read the agreement, which gave them the right to use the information for any purpose and to change the purposes after the fact.

Yes, it is "creepy." Like most advertisements, designed to provoke an emotional response and by-pass critical thinking. It's also a product "bound to happen," perhaps even useful, if a bit premature.

Hopefully, such a broad ranging company, in search of a larger audience than academia and medical research, could reduce the cost of DNA-typing, if not the quality.

But, yes... the ad is, as you said, "creepy," catering to the religion of self-idolatry.

True, but much less prevalent among western Europeans than Central Asians or some American Indians.
