The VERY FIRST thing a reader has the responsibility to do when they see the words “study, researchers, scientists” is to find out exactly WHO these people are, WHO they work for, and WHERE the funding for the “study” came from.
Many times, the word academician, scientist, researcher, etc. can be equated to “intellectual whore.”
If it quotes “Center for Science in the Public Interest” just stop reading.
Close your eyes and you can see the Pork Packers Of Poughkeepsie meeting with a pointy haired food nerd saying "We need a study that shows red meat bad, pork good. How much will it cost us?"
