And the better of the alternative. I do not remember any string conservative candidates that even had a prayer in our jacked up primary system where the NE Rinos and tepid mid-western states get to set the field.

Pres. Bush lost me when he signed a bill and said it was not Constitutional and he would let the Supreme Court work it out. (not his exact words) I assume he took an oath to protect the Constitution, but did not do so.

Sorry but GWB destroyed the GOP. Failure to defend himself and passing big government programs made him worse than any Democrat. Voted for him twice, campaigned for him, stabbed the party in the back.

A good reply and a nice cheap shot at my expense. Yes, he is a class act and a Christian. A born again Christian, which is why I would never want another born again in office ever. Why? Because they seem to confuse scripture - help your fellow man - by applying that to government, thus creating more debt, government programs, and regulations.

Your post actually reminds me of the recent ABC effort to state what Obama really meant as to what he said, concerning the red line statement. I remember September 2008 extremely well. The government had to do something right now or the economic world would collapse that day. Well, the next day came around and nothing happened. And so it went on like that for a few days.

If "W" is so smart, then he would have known that Roosevelt accomplished nothing. I am not a Bush hater and maybe we would be doing better with someone like him in office now rather than what we have. But don't forget - he is todays Hoover - using the power of government - that led to todays FDR - Obama - abusing the power of government to hurt his enemies.
