One of the best New Orleans po boys you can get is a French fried potato with debris gravy. Crispy French bread piled with French fries, doused with the gravy roast beef has been cooking in all day( with beef bits in it). Dressed with lettuce, tomato and mayo or plain it is incredible.

Have you tasted the things that Burger King calls onion rings? Their nasty, rubbery, tasteless globs of greasy dough.

The fries, which are also rather poor imitations, would still be better.

When I read the title, I thought maybe they were coming up with their own version of the British chip butty: buttered bread, fries, topped with ketchup or brown sauce (mixture of ketchup and Worcestershire sauce.)

My experience with BK is that they often become very “creative” in sandwich choices. They used to sell a Veggie Burger, a soy bean deal which I would get sometimes on days that I abstain from meat. One day I pulled into the drive-thru and placed my order and the voice said, “You mean a Veggie Whopper?”
“Yes, I guess so.”
I got home to find a bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and sauce — and no patty.

I have not had their rings in 20 years because of that.

Out here in Western PA, they put french fries on EVERYTHING... I mean even frikken SALAD has french fries on it to crying out loud. They call it "Pittsburgh Style"... because out here, you know, 3 hours northeast from Pittsburgh, it's still "Steelers Country" and, of course, everything about Pittsburgh and/or the Steelers is just precious beyond precious.
