(WXYZ) - It was a shouting match serious enough for a clerk at a Detroit cell phone store to start filming the exchange.
The heated argument was regarding a womans son, who bought a cell phone more than two weeks ago and wanted a refund.
They came in a week ago, I explained them the situation, said the store clerk, who wanted his identity hidden. I showed them everything on the receipt.
The clerk who shot the footage says after trying to explain to the irate mother her sons date of purchase exceeded the stores 7-day policy for refunds, the mother wasnt taking no for an answer.
Take everyones [expletive] money! said the mother caught on camera, Take it!
In addition to knocking down signs, the clerk says she even used a knife to damage display cases. Things took a strange turn as the customer addressed the clerks camera.
Take my picture. Take that! said the woman, as she lifted her dress and mooned the clerks cell phone camera, Take that! You got that? Because I will be back. You got that close up? Cheese!"

Stephanie, the woman caught on camera. Hes telling me my money is up in the air, I cant get a refund or another phone. Stephanie says the cell phone store sold her son an outdated, damaged phone.
[The store] needs to either give me another phone or return my money. said Stephanie.
There is no excuse for anyone to walk into anyones business and do that. said the clerk, who says the store plans to pursue charges against the customer.

The probably wouldn’t give her the early Obama phone upgrade to an I-Phone 5.

true. wouldn’t want anyone to feel ‘shame’ for having a free phone of last month’s model.
One would think she would’ve read the warranty information on the back of the receipt and tried the phone out the same day it was purchased. But then... that involves the employment a modicum of common sense. I can’t help but wonder... is she among those complaining about the “unfairness” of voter ID laws?
Detroit? No wonder it’s gone under. Who precipitated that, I wonder?
