Under normal circumstances in normal conditions I would say that this is FUBAR and I think the rest of the world that is watching is seeing the situation that way.
However, given the current bizzaro world of the Obama Admin and knowing a pretty good bit about our nouveau UN Ambassador Samantha Power I'm sure I'm not the only one breathing a huge sigh of relief and feeling a lot safer now that she playing Samantha Power, International Girl of Mystery and keeping herself out any place where she can do serious damage.

I am reminded STRONGLY of the USSR - They chose to boycott a UN Security Council meeting in 1950 over some perceived slight, or a “true” charge of espionage and manipulation that they (the USSR) did not want to admit.
SO, by boycotting ONE meeting, the UN was able to force through a quick vote supporting South Korea, and we (the US) were able to get troops in place to prevent another communist takeover.
Since then, the USSR /Soviet Union have NEVER missed ANY UN meeting they did not already control through their surrogates.
