I believe this near-catastrophe happened in Taiwan.

Watch as a dashcam captures the action

Now go back and pay special attention to the mountain peak at the top-center of the screen at about 2 seconds in. That’s some Wile E. Coyote stuff right there.

20 seconds in..NOT 2 seconds...

Look again...the peak starts falling only a few seconds into the video.

I’m thinking this was staged. Somebody on top of the mountain pushed that rock off intentionally and the white car knew exactly when to swerve.

No. The boulder started from the top at about .02 sec. It took about 18 seconds to hit bottom.

I’d guess it’s real... The only thing I’m not sure about is why the rock stopped rolling where it did. Seems like with that much momentum it would have kept going, over the car and across the road, at least. But in any case, WOW!!!

If so, that's some fancy and pointless staging -- who could predict that closely how a rock that size would fall and roll? If it's faked, the whole thing is CGI'ed. Why take chances with a real rock?

Two seconds in you can see the rock detach from the hill.
