Godfather 1 & 2 are two of the best movies ever made, imho.

Don’t leave us hanging from a noose. What did the scammer say about the body?

A few days ago I got an e-mail claiming to be from my internet provider. It even had the company’s logo on it. It said that my internet service would be cancelled in three days if I didn’t update my information. And then they asked for my credit card number.
I wonder how many brain-dead morons fell for that blatant scam.

A number of years ago I was corresponding with my cousin on email when he informed me that he’d won a huge payout in an international lottery.

I congratulated him, and innocently asked what the name of the lottery was, and how he’d purchased a ticket for it, as I’d never heard of one before. He told me that he hadn’t bought a ticket, but that he’d gotten an email from the ‘lottery commission’ out of the blue, and that they’d told him that his email address had been randomly selected as a winner.

As soon as I heard that, I knew what was up, and told him to terminate all communications with the ‘lottery commission’, as they were a scam.

Now get this.....my cousin was about fifty at the time, which would make you think he’d been around long enough to sniff out a scam like this from a mile off. Nope. The man actually argued with me about it, and was determined to go through with it.

It was only when I said to him, “I’ll bet they asked for your bank account data, didn’t they?”, that he paused. I then asked him, “If they’re legit, why don’t they just send you a check?” He was stumped, but remained unconvinced that it was a fraud.

Bottom line, I had to get my brother and uncle into the conversation to convince him to drop it.

I hope you’re not suggesting Mo Green died on Godfather ll because you would be incorrect.
