I just spent a night with a 94 year old man in a hospital. His mind was as fresh as a young adult. One always thinks that someone that old should maybe should resign themselves to those things. I saw myself, 40 years down the road. We are all going to have all of our consciousness right up until the moment that we leave. That is scary.
Prayers for him.
Prayers to the family. I know this is easier said, but I don’t think I would do anything at all except get my affairs in order (I am more than sure his are) and try to live what is left in my life. I can’t imagine going through kemo and all that type of stuff at 44 much less 86. God Bless him!
RIP
I liked him.
But life has a funny way of always ending.
Yup such a good man, such a good family, funny how they screwed over so many other good people for services rendered while they continued to reap huge salaries, yup funny.
He’s not gone yet. Sheesh!
Did he ever help anybody? Did he run you Over?
Welcome to the Free Republic.
Two of my grandparents got cancer in their mid-80s.
They both led full lives and were ready.

Oh no I must have erred in stating an opinion, did he run someone over, not that I know of, did he ever help someone? yeah probably. But some where along the line like many others before as there will be after, he and his chowed down on the gravy train and in so doing took from those less fortunate than themselves. Do I wish him the pain and suffering of cancer? No, but does that excuse what occurred at the end of his ministry? How about you ask all the people that didn’t get paid while they did, or figure out why the Cathedral had to be sold to the Catholic Church. Truth is truth, it does not change. But in the end it not you or I that is the judge, only the Lord.
Ive been around a while, not the first time I’ve ruffled someones feathers and won’t be the last. If what I said about the Schullers bothered some I can live with it.
Well, he helped me tremendously. His books on the power of positive thinking changed my life. You shouldn’t condemn what you don’t understand.
May God have mercy on the Rev. Mr. Schuller and grant him a speedy and full recovery or a happy death.
So you say he was not a good person on this earth?
I don’t condemn, have not condemned, I have stated factual information, period. But I will tell you that I am a Catholic and believe in God our Father and the power of Faith. I do not believe in MINISTERS becoming disgustingly rich preaching the word of God! I don’t believe in Ministers taking tithes from those less fortunate and using the money to live the high life instead of putting it to use with the poor.

It is not for me to determine if he was a good person on this earth, that does not mean that I turn a blind eye to negative things that he has done and refuse to see them. But tell me since it seems that I am being accused of judging, tell me have you not ever held an opinion about or “judged” anyone? Say like Obama, or Hillary, or Kerry or..... look in the mirror then respond.
You believe this man has stolen money from you? Explain
You can’t do it. I’m done with you. God Bless
