I call BS on this.
This fellow sure spent a lot of supposed time on the East coast for a Texan.
Did he ever deploy?
Seems he spent his entire career around the beltway.
Something is fishy.
12 dead in shooting at D.C. Navy Yard, two suspects still at large
"Alexis was at some point a civilian contractor for the U.S. Navy in the information technology area, Navy Secretary Ray Mabus said. "At one point, he was a Navy contractor. Whether he was today, I don't know," Mabus told CNN. Alexis had "secret" clearance and was assigned to start working there as a civilian contractor with a military-issued ID card, his firm's CEO told Reuters. Police described the two other possible suspects as a white man and a black man, each wearing military style clothing, although other law enforcement officials cautioned that it was still unclear whether more than one gunman was involved."
The guys rating would be Squadron based wouldn't it? How could he get his PQS in to make rank? Even Squadron's eventually deploy. I know things have changed since our days but four years CONUS shore duty for a first enlistment sailor? That doesn't sound right. A RM, supply rating, or Air Traffic Control, yea maybe but their shore duty was usually overseas if first enlistment.
