I think as long as we are graduating kids who can’t read, we are domed.

Better a smart kid drop out of a failing school than a dumb kid stay in a failing school.

I have no love for 1 size fits all education.

The article is not about professors having anything to do with public schools personally or directly. (Not a good idea, I agree.)

The point is that they should be able to explain to the community, the school board, and the local paper what is going on in the schools. Ideally, the professors would become aggressive spokespeople for the best in education at all levels.

School in not for everyone.
And this cored curriculum coming down the pike is awful.
The schools say “climb this tree”, fish can’t, elephants can’t so therefore they are stupid.

I think I would have done well with the on line schooling if we had had it back then.

I have spoken to many grade and middle school teachers, now retired, who said that this has been going on since the early 70’s.

Oddly enough, this is NOT Obama’s Fault.

“Kindergartners should be more involved with College Professor’s education. We would all be a lot better off...”

Worth repeating.
