The entire Steeler mishpocha is in for a long season of disappointment. Lots of not living up to “the standard” going on and a certain offensive coordinator should be polishing up his resume. The brunt of the heat is going to fall on him.

And, today is Constitution Day. Hug your favorite clause or article today.

Had to get up to gather wood for the fire.

Not really, but it is cold. I broke down and wore a jacket for the first time this season. Mid 40s here.

50 here. Love this nippinesx. Omg Jules is insane, he lost a cookie in a one inch space between the fridge and the bottom counter. So he has his nose pressed up against it, bawling and then barking at the cookie to come out. He’s going to drive me insane. They get a bug up their butt and then obsess on it. Dont worry they’ve had 2-3 cookies since that one escaped but we can’t get over that.

All of 0bama’a old college friends and friends of his mentors, with whom he has associated himself in government, and the absurd worshipers of his shtick may constitute a mishpocha for him, but to me they are all merely alien overlords with whom I have less than no genetic linkage.

I shall be ever so jubilant when the “visitors” are gone.

That’s how you get cat toys out from under the refrigerator. I don’t think anybody actually measures anything with them.

"Have never owned a yardstick since i left home."

If you have "blinds", some of them used to contain a small rigid sliver of wood in the bottom to keep the material straight across the bottom. These can be slipped out sideways, used for whatever purpose, and then put back. Careful, they're a might brittle.

Otherwise, one could employ an unemployed curtain rod. In desperate times, you could remove an employed curtain rod. Those curtains probably need washing anyway.

Depends how crazy the dog makes you.

Great ideas all, thanks. We have wooden blinds though and there’s not a conventional curtain rod in the house. You weren’t around for my embarrassing disclosure last dec when i discovered mold on the drapery and had to have the lady come to take it down, take it to her facility to clean and then bring it back to remount. The drapes are mounted on some board, there’s a name for that they are called but i can’t recall.pleated shades elsewhere in the house.
