Why MSM tizzy? Pope Francis isn't blatantly condemning homosexuality, but neither is he condoning it

While Pope Francis isn't blasting homosexuality, neither is he conferring any blessings upon it, either.

He, as well as anyone else, knows that there are zero scriptural references that condone homosexuality.

And while liberal Roman Catholic usurpers may argue ad naseum that the scriptures really don't mean what they apparently say, and have been taken out of context, this is baselessly arguing AGAINST something, rather than FOR something (that the scriptures condone homosexuality).

Secondly, attempting to diverge via a red herring and saying that there are topics that the scriptures don't talk about or condone , that is a logically fallacious apples-to-oranges argument: the scriptures DO cover moral issues.

Lastly, Jesus said that a man would leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife, not husband and not wive(s). He hearkened back to the very same words spoken in Genesis. Hebrews 1:1 says that in days past God spoke through the prophets, but in the last days spoke through His Son. I.E. - God the Father spoke to the people of Old Testament times through the prophets, but now through His Son...

So the words that God the Father gave Moses the prophet in Genesis, when he wrote them down, are in agreement with what Jesus Christ says in the New Testament. IOW, the Father cannot contradict the Son, nor vice versa.

In the end, this means neither marriage, nor fornication.

He’s not condoning it all, and he has already said that he follows the teachings of the Church in everything.

What he is doing is treating it the way it should be, as a sin, and not as some bizarre permanent psychological condition that makes the person a special political class. Many people have a particular sin to which they are “addicted,” ranging from sexual things to drinking too much to stealing - and even to less spectacular things that are bad habits where lesser sins become seriously sinful because of their extent (gossiping, for example). I think what he is saying is that we have to show people the freedom, happiness and peace that comes with being a Christian before they will even consider giving up their sins. And then we work with them, even if they keep falling.

In other words, he’s taking it back to being a moral issue and not a political question.

That doesn’t mean he’s going to sit there and let it be imposed by a secular society on the Church. Cdl Burke came out today and said that Nancy Pelosi should be excommunicated - because she is using her political position to publicly support a gravely sinful act and even impose tolerance of it on the Church. And Burke certainly wouldn’t have done this without consulting with the Pope.
