Robert -- This is the final notification of your member status before tonight’s Tea Party-inspired government shutdown over Obamacare.

Here’s the latest: Speaker Boehner just went on the House floor and threw down the gauntlet. He actually claimed that the American people support the Republican plan to threaten a government shutdown over Obamacare.

Unless Boehner has a change of heart in the next 11 hours, the United States government will shut down at midnight.

We got here in the first place because, in 2008, you built the biggest grassroots organization in the history of American politics. But we were only getting started.

Over the next few years, we worked together to pass health care reform, bring our brave troops home from Iraq, and repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell. None of those things would have happened without your support.

And a little more than 11 months ago, we celebrated another victory.

I need your help today because all of the progress that has been made since 2008 has never been about what I can do for you, but what we can accomplish together.

I need partners in the Senate and House who share that focus. And tonight's fundraising deadline is crucial.

Even though Republicans and their allies outraised and outspent Democrats last year, we came together to build an organization that could overcome all of the super PAC attack ads.
