Murphy's Law famously states that "anything that can go wrong, will go wrong." But many are unaware of the lesser-known corollary to Murphy's Law, known as Fox & Friends Law, which states that "anything that can be derped on Fox & Friends, will be derped." Consequently, from the moment it was decided to pair the hosts of Fox & Friends with Hispanic meteorologist Maria Molina for a segment on National Taco Day this morning, the derp was inevitable.
It was inevitable that Brian Kilmeade would ask Molina, "What are tips we need to know to do it correctly? You grew up on tacos, correct?"
It was inevitable that Steve Doocy would pause from stuffing his face to chide, "She did not grow she's Colombian."
It was inevitable that Molina would inform both hosts that she was Nicaraguan and tacos are not a Nicaraguan food.
And it was inevitable that Elisabeth Hasselbeck would chime in, "But if you did if you did grow up on tacos ..."
Such are the laws of the physical universe.
I saw that exchange this morning.... I thought it was hilarious.
Who’s Midge?
Kilmeade seems like a nice man, but he’s somewhat limited.
Midgelinia Morales de la Rosa y Flores.
Star of all shows, I'll tell you what.
Three-foot-eight, Eyes-like-Slate
Her uncle "Tio Pepe" controls all the coke on the coastal pipeline.
So she comes with wardrobe.
A big deal about nothing, thanks to PC.
Though they don’t allow the video online, when Jimmy Smits hosted Saturday Night Live, they did a hilarious take of him as a new employee entering a boardroom and everybody exaggerating Spanish words, oblivious to his perfect English and discomfort.
Here is a transcript.

Bri Bri should take lessons from TOTUS on how to READ A FRIKKING TELEPROMPTER without mumbling and bumbling through even the simplest line.
Elisabeths’ voice is annoying and she isn’t a Conservative, though she claims to be. Of course, compared to the View Commies, she looks like Wm.F.Buckley.
Gretch is a Rino at best.
Steve D. is okay but how does he report the Fox and Friends fair and balanced lib “fill in” vapid stories while keeping a straight face?
I think Peter Doocy is doing a good job for his youth and inexperience.
I hear you. I rarely watch “Fox and Friends”. I like what I’ve seen of Peter Doocy as well, and I also like his father. Peter seems to be more serious, but it could be that he’s simply more fortunate in where he’s been placed in the programming.
Kilmeade is extremely sharp and witty.
huh? hispanics are not also protestants? wha?

I like him and respect him for his patriotism. He's always doing his best to support our military.
You may be right. I rarely watch the morning show these days.
That show has become a train wreck.
Peter Doocey is a clown that would not have been allowed to watch network news, let alone be on it, back in the day.
So what? I was watching when Kilmeade made the remark. It was funny.
Whatever Molina grew up on, it certainly filled her out well in the most important places. So you may or may not want to feed it to your daughters.
I saw that sketch when it was new. I always thought it was parodying how TV news reporters started pronouncing certain Spanish-language words in a goofy imitation accent around that time, which I always thought was incredibly stupid, awkward, if not insulting.
It’s funny how many of the actors from the great early ‘90s SNL era are turning out to be conservative or at least not Obama sycophants, e.g. Victoria Jackson, Dennis Miller, Jon Lovitz and Rob Schneider. I always got the impression Phil Hartman was at least somewhat conservative, or at least would have become one with this group if he had lived past the Clinton era.
I know Dana Carvey’s left-of-center though. And definitely the “It’s Pat” girl is a raging leftist. Chris Rock is a typical Obama sycophant. Can’t remember about Mike Myers...and no idea on Kevin Nealon. But having about half the major cast members lean conservative is a great average for the entertainment industry.
In Phoenix in the 1980s, a TV station got a Hispanic woman who, for two weeks was “Linda Alvarez, for action news”, then suddenly became “Leenda Alfarez, for ac-teon noos!”
In any event, after a year or three she was picked up to host a news show in Los Angeles. But someone in the studio decided to prank her before she left.
Knowing that she was very socially conservative, plus had the typical Hispanic biases, they suddenly produced a long interview someone had made with the president of NAMBLA, the National Man-Boy Love Association. A pedophile.
Her big send off was to show this interview for the first time, while critiquing it with an extremely conservative panel, among which was an old school fire-and-brimstone Evangelical preacher and a newly appointed ultra conservative deputy county prosecutor.
What this amounted to was a brief segment of the video, then the camera would go back to her, with an utterly disgusted look on her face. Then she would snap out a question at one of her guests, who would proceed to froth and scream. The level of outrage was sky high.
Especially when they hit *the* sound bite from the disgusting worm. “When a boy is eight years old, his rectum is large enough to accommodate the penis of a fully grown man.”
When the camera went back to Linda Alvarez, she had an expression on her face like somebody was pounding a nail through her foot. By this time, the deputy prosecutor was screaming for a lynch mob, and the preacher was calling down the wrath of heaven.
And Linda demanded they run that sound bite over and over again. In the chaos, somebody in the control room hit the wrong switch, and the audio for the panel went off, and you could hear the laughter in the control room, where the rest of the station staff were laughing themselves silly.
Finally, somebody said “Oh shiat!”, and the audio went back to the panel, who had not calmed down one bit, and were still screaming at no one in particular about how this pedophile should be thrown into a cauldron of boiling tar.
I don’t know if anyone ever let Linda know that she had been pranked. In any event, off to LA with her.
