We had heavy rain today here in Massachusetts.
Ive got 2 droopy tomatoes: mongrels if I’m any judge. One is about 5-6” tall, sprouted where they were planted last year. The other mangy mutt’s about 14-16” of lanky stem that was straggling along the ground under our bird feeder, with its roots tangled in an iris root; didn’t even have enough guts to stand on its own stem.
I lifted & potted them both yesterday morning, before we left for the day; when we go back both were totally wilted.
Watered them again, and put them under a fluorescent until I went bed around 4 AM, and the small one had perked up; the other one took until this afternoon to raise its leaves out of abject surrender to death. Looks like they’ll survive long enough for me to kill them before Spring.
My apologies regarding this week’s thread. I thought I would be able to sneak away and at least ping the list, but no such luck. Then when I tried to copy the message and the ping list, the hotel computer just won’t let me do it.
As I noted on last week’s thread several times, I am in Branson Mo. at a conference this week. If I had known that I wouldn’t have been able to get to the list etc. I would have had someone else take over.
Last year, I had no such problems. I am in a different hotel, but still part of the same chain, so I just didn’t anticipate the problems.
Every time I tried to slip away, someone caught me and held me up so that I couldn’t get away.
Apologies, again to all. I’ll ping the list when I get back home to explain to everyone. Till then this is the offical thread for the week.
