Someone at the Anchorage, Alaska, branch of the National Weather Service seems to have a very important message regarding the federal government shutdown: PLEASE PAY US.

You’ve got to admit, it’s clever.
LOL. That is hilarious.
Too bad the NWS has been overcome with global warming idiots.
Otherwise they might be worth some sympathy.
It’d be better if it said “defund Ocare”.
Sent on the same day that House Dems voted against funding the NWS!
That fact gets in NONE of the stories about this.
Nor will it be reported when the Senate Dems Kill the bill today.
What a media!
“joint resolution (H.J. Res. 82) making continuing appropriations for the National Weather Service for fiscal year 2014, and for other purposes.”
Furloughed employees are going to be paid. I for one have seriously mixed feelings about that as I would just as soon see most of those 800,000 furloughed employees permanently furloughed without pay, especially the ones in the IRS, the EPA, the NSA, the Dept. of Ed., the dept of homeland security, and the BATFE.
If they got enough time to that, maybe they don’t deserve to be paid...
And the more these resolutions pile up, the worse the Rats look.
My NOAA S.A.M.E. radio alerted this A.M. All warnings, watches, and advisories status lights flashing. I tuned to the correct frequency for my area and discovered no/no signal being broadcast. If you’re on the Gulf coast right now, and depending up emergency alerts for the impending storm, you should check your radios.
It’s long past time the NWS was privatized.
Most government employees screw off on the Internet all day. I belong to a team sports forum and the poster that makes the most posts on it works for the IRS.
He’s also a huge liberal.
No mention of the coded message in the Obamacare phone number, though. You’d expect the mass media to be all over that one ... well, then again, maybe you’d expect them to be silent, and they are.
