We could have a 'revolution' without firing a shot! Why do we ask so little?

Think about it. The POWER OF THE PURSE is a great thing to have. So, why is the US House being such wimps. The debt ceiling is a huge source of power. So, why ask SO LITTLE?

If the GOP were to hold firm and we backed them up, we could ask for something more: We could ask for Obama and Biden to resign as our SOLE demand in exchange for raising the debt limit. If Obama stays, the debt limit stays where it is until he leaves office. Period.

Obama and Biden would have little choice but to cave. That would make John Boehner the president! Now, I know he's a RINO. But with him in the White House, Obamacare would be gone within days!

Why ask for simple policy stuff when we COULD force a real change?

We have to keep our powder dry until we take over both houses and POTUS.

Then WE can do the big spending and gov't intrusion into the lives of the rest of America.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but elections are not going to fix the fundamental problems we have with Washington D.C.

If you think we have a chance to “elect” a majority in both houses and win the Presidency with a Conservative like Cruz - you do not know the reality of what has been done to ensure such a thing never happens.

The Ruling Class is not going to sit by and watch We The People follow the Constitution and strip them of their power without a fight. They’ve rigged the entire system in their own favor and we have to go around them to force them to abide within the bounds subscribed.

If you think the republicans in this government will ever differ from the democrats in more than a few tiny degrees, I have some bad news for you about Santa Claus

Well, Boehner is doing Eric Cantor’s job — that of House Majority Leader. It should have been Cantor and not Boehner in front of Stephanopoulos, who typifies the media bias — Ever see Stephanopoulos question a guest so vigorously and repeatedly?

The Dems would scream things like “blackmail” and “you’re holding our country hostage,” and...

Oh wait, they already say those things. I like it.

Makes me think of an exchange with a fellow FReeper the other day who agreed in principle with the need for something like Obamacare because of all the freeloaders on hospitals. He wrote:

The mandate doesn’t bother me that much. You have to buy car insurance to get a license. So if they did it in a simpler way, say, a 1-page-bill, it wouldn’t be so bad....

and

...So there are only two choices, repeal the laws mandating hospital care at E.R.s, or come up with a way of reimbursing them without going further into debt.

And

...you’re totally exempt if you prefer to have your own private insurance and keep your money out of the government’s hands.

I still say we're lucky Romney lost. He'd have neutralized limited government conservatism dead its tracks. Limited government is what Americans want, and it will soundly beat Obama. He's loathed, folks.

Smoke and mirrors, Kabuki theater. The Republicans will roll will roll over and give the regime everything it wants while trying mightily to look like they fought the good fight. They have the same paymasters.

the power of the purse, which THE HOUSE holds, is EVERYTHING

The president merely carried out the laws as head of the administrative branch.

Congress is the Board of Directors

You are so right! It matters not whether we elect Democrats or Republicans at this point, they will always vote for the expansion of Government and themselves. Most folks don’t realize that now but they will eventually - too late I’d suspect.

We have gone past the point of recovery via party representatives. Unfortunately, we don’t have the power to elect a third power either so we are doomed.

Our Republic (if we can keep it) is about to be gone and only those in the know will realize it but will be powerless to prevent or thwart it.
