Just a matter of two different programs on the same card, rather than having two separate cards.

"Food Stamps" = SNAP

Welfare = TANF

You can Google the acronyms and find out all about them.

A friend who is an employed teacher and the spouse who is an employed nurse went to the SNAP website and input their incomes... they were eligible for $25 a month in assistance!!

It seems to me that the threshold for need is pretty crazy if you can be gainfully employed and still qualify for assistance.
