That’s quite a discrepancy from my state where a family of four is not going to see any SNAP benefits with a family income above the mid-30,000s.

In this area a teacher and nurse would be expected to have a combined income of over $100,000. No way would they qualify for SNAP.

I would go to the federal SNAP benefit calculator to verify that but, of course, it is closed lol.

I didn’t go to the website, this is just what my friend said. But the friend is a typical teacher with a spouse who is a typical nurse and the $25 a month subsidy is what was determined when they input their information. I have no reason to believe it was a lie.
