A woman from Melbourne, Florida learned that the law can be heartless. Violating a law that prohibits pets from wandering leashless, she received a ticket in excess of $200.

One of her pets was a kitty cat in a specially designed wheelchair; Pooh Bear’s front legs are fine but his back legs are paralyzed.

If they’ve ever been vaccinated they likely have immunity. According to Ron Schultz who is THE vet immunologist expert, there is really no need to vaccinate annually — and great risk and harm in doing so. Titering is the way to go. The law, as in so many cases, does not reflect actual need.

> Many are just directed to fine/tax anywhere they can.

Exactly !!!
Last month, I was fined $200 by the City of Buffalo for my lawn being over 10”. The grass was 4”, but there were a half dozen dandelions with flowers that shot up to the 10” to 11” mark from the previous 7 or 8 days of constant rain, and some uniformed liberal was out there with a ruler and a citation pad.

Positively asinine.
I worked for the orthopedic vet (back when I was 19) who INVENTED the original K-9 Cart. That was back in 1975. The cart has been improved by others along the way since then. They are used by thousands of animals by now and the owners’ reaction to seeing their dog or cat walk again was sooo gratifying. He had people coming in from all over the country.

Don’t we have bigger issues to deal with???

Oppression by our government is going to get worse and worse until we rise up and smack them.

They’re not only heartless, they’re soulless as well, having forfeited said souls to Hell in their satanic bargains.

I would conjecture that much of the purpose of periodic vaccinations stems from the fact that if vaccines were perpetual, someone whose pet died might be inclined to give a new pet the same name and pretend that the new pet had received all the vaccinations which were given to the old one. Requiring periodic renewal for vaccines helps prevent long-term disparities between that animals which are documented as being vaccinated and those which are, though other approaches might work just as well for that purpose.

Iam a personal friend of ms.steele. she does keep her pets shots updated. the tag in question isnt due til 2015. the sgt and animal control wouldnt let her show it. he, for some reason is targeting her for calling the police in a high crime area, and asking why they take so long in responding.
