Time for A Real Conservative Party
October 11, 2013 | Q-ManRN

Posted on 10/11/2013 11:17:59 AM PDT by Q-ManRN

It is time for a new conservative party. I am tired of the Republican Party because it represents keeping the status quo in D.C. The truth is the D.C. establishment consists of both republicans and democrats whose goal is to keep our money flowing into D.C. thereby making everyone beholden to the federal government. These politicians walk away mufti-millionaires with lifetime benefits at our expense while their constituents have less and less of their hard-earned money.

Every few years we talk about winning the next election and then taking back the government; however, that never happens because our so-called representatives really represent the D.C. establishment. The supposed republican vs. democrat battle is a circus sideshow that distracts us from the fact that the federal government gets bigger and more power with each passing year. A vote for most republicans is a vote for the D.C. establishment. If the republicans were serious about changing D.C., they would have done it before now.

I was hoping that Sarah Palin might start the Freedom Party that she had mentioned in a recent interview; nevertheless, I have heard nothing more about that possibility.

“PS: I can think of nothing else which would help keep my party in power for decades to come.”

The Democrats have used the concept of “fusion” parties. The Communist party runs or threatens to run a candidate against the Democrat. The Dems know the Communists are x% of their vote in any district. Quite often the uber-Left (Commies) are the winning few votes. So, the Democrat adopts the positions of the Communist candidate; pro-abortion, free-stuff, Obamacare, taxing the rich, etc. etc. The Communists then either drop out or signal the membership with (dog whistle) “code” meaning they’re to vote for the Democrat. (This is why the Left is always accusing conservatives of dog whistles and code; they use them.)

We could use the same tactic as the conservative right are a much higher percentage of the Republican vote than the Lunatic Left are of the Democratic vote. Our Dog Whistle would be Sarah Palin coming out on a commercial saying, “Okay, I’ve worked a deal with x and we can all vote for him now.”

There is one way for a third party to be viable. We need to have a top 2 primary runoff system. I’d be more happy with the GOP if we had a top 2 primary runoff for selecting candidates for all elected offices. The current system favors the big money big establishment candidates which doesn’t serve us.

The agenda of today’s Democrat Party and the CPUSA are so identical.....I don’t even think the CPUSA even bothers fielding candidates very much anymore. I do believe it supported BHO in 2008 and in 2012.

The problem isn’t the party. The problem is that Washington has been turned into an aristocracy, with a king that changes every 8 years, and a House of Lords (Congress) that basically has lifetime tenure.

I guess some don’t remember the shellacking that Conservatives got when Ross Perot’s candidacy split the Conservative vote when he ran against Bill Clinton. I guess some are wanting another Democrat for president in 2016 because they want to see the vote split again.

If the people who want a third party would work half as long and hard as the fascist left did to take over the democrat party the Republican Party would be Conservative now.

Go ahead, organize whatever sort of Mongolian Cluster F**k you like and you'll soon find that prima donnas who always have a reason not to bother with political trench fighting and taking control of the Republican Party are almost all far too lazy to bother with your new MCF party either.

Ross Perot handed Bill Clinton the Presidency on a silver platter and delayed fuse bombs that SOB planted are a large part of our current problems. That was the great result we got from the last temper tantrum Third Party garbage.

I guess some people are just so dense that they don't know, "Nothing difficult is ever easy".

The only thing a third party will do is provide the people who don't and won't lift a finger with new excuses.

I like to say that “I’m a Tea Party advocate”, rather than claiming its membership.

I like your perspective. It's healthy.

Everyone has said what needs to be said - no to a third party... yes to getting a backbone, digging deep into our convictions and choosing morality at the expense of all else.

If the goal is restoration of republican freedom, it is borderline foolish to think needed reforms will emerge from those who profit so well from the current situation.

It is time to use the last peaceful tool our framers gave us. Article V.

Very few if any thought on Free Republic about dumping a dead party with no power.

They are still waiting for a knight in shining armor to lead the GOP.

They are still riding the merry-go-round....too afraid to jump off.

“Go ahead, and choose from any of the 60 or 70 “third parties” that are out there. Meanwhile, I’ll join Ted Cruz and Mike Lee and Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin in recapturing the Republican party.”

Agree, conservatives, as you say, should recapture the GOP. Then, force out RINO’s. They (RINO’s) can go join the Democrat party or they can be the one’s to go form a third party if they want...

We only have two choices now-—A) Take Back the GOP and bring it to its Conservative—Reaganesque Roots or B) dump the party and take over an existing 3rd Party or make a new one. I believe that in order to do that we need a charismatic leader to lead the way with good ideas and popular appeal. There are few on the right who can do this now—the ones we have are now toxic due to the MSM (sarah Palin—Newt G.—even Ted Cruz) So—reluctantly, I beleieve we have no choice but to follow plan A-—But that doesn’t mean we souldn’t explore B) and see what party we can take over if we need to. Reform? Constutional, Conservative, Any Tea Party person who is shut out of the GOP should run 3rd Party!

The Hildabeast is/has got the money set up for her run. She will have no opposition. Now her goal is to give indirectly money to a possible third candidate to split the (R)dummy party. So gang just put up a 3rd party person & I guarantee a (D) win. ( Will be lucky to win even w/o due to media & fraud).

I think it has more to do with many people wanting to be represented by a conservative instead of being represented by the D.C. political establishment which is self-serving. The democrats and most republicans are more interested in preserving their own political and economic power. We are already in a one party system - the D.C. establishment party - made up of democrats and most republicans.

The real question now is who is the second political party going to be to represent the vision of our Founding Fathers of limited government and individual liberty?

Elections are not a football game between democrats and the republicans. It is more like a football practice with the same team playing against itself. No side really loses in practice because they are on the same team in the end. Therefore, they cannot lose.

That is why a party not currently entrenched in the Washington political scene could work.

Interesting idea! The Washington establishment is unlikely to change the primary election system that favors them though.

When the Whig Party was in power pundits said that the republican party was not a viable third political party. If what you say about third political parties is true, how did the Republican Party replace the Whig Party?

What “conservative party” is that? A conservative party would be aggressively cleaning up D.C. We have seen unprecedented government scandals in the past few years. Who in this administration or congress has been made to account for these things? No one.

Instead, both parties merely point the finger at each other; however, no one will go to jail or lose jobs or even their federal benefits.

Do you think that you or I would be that lucky if we were committing crimes like this? No, because we are not part of the Washington elite. It is Washington, D.C. vs. the rest of the nation, not republican vs. democrat.
