I know what you mean. When I moved to Asia, I worried about missing American sports. But not anymore, when I read such headlines: ‘NFL Kicker Punts for Gay Rights,’ ‘NFL Goes Pink;’ and ‘Obama Invites NBA Boston Celtics to LGBT Fundraiser.’

Recognize that all sportswriters are products of the same culture and atmosphere as the other reporters in the newsroom. Just because they happen to work in the "Toy Department" doesn't excuse them.
In most cases, Liberalism was a condition of being hired.
It is also a point of fact that, like their cohorts in the newsroom, baseball writers have no clue as to the game they're writing about. Serious baseball fans understand the game better than they do -- even though the writers are in the park, watching and writing, every night (Gammons, though, is the rare exception to this rule).
Gammon’s an idiot who still hasn’t dicovered that there are 25 other teams outside the American League East.
Sportswriters (there’s no such thing as sports reporters, since they all write what they’re told to) are writers that are too dumb to be regular reporters.

All sporting events that I do watch, when I have time and inclination, I watch muted. Agitates the Mrs. but I refuse to listen to the morons.
The sports media is so tanked and so blindly PC (idiot athlete does xxx every night, abuse, kicked off team, etc.)
Then they get fat Libs like Bob Ley to throw the eternal blanket of “forgiveness” on his “Outside the Lines” show that constantly blames society for the ills of the rich athletes who squander fame and fortune...NEVER the LIBERALISM THAT GOT THEM THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND KEEPS THEM THERE.
