Alright, that there is disgusting. In fact we need a better word than disgusting. It’s something I didn’t need to see or even know it existed.

further...
...consume fish which they are able to grasp with their razor sharp teeth. It has been reported that in some cases the worm is able to strike its prey with such a velocity as to sever it in half.

I have had this happen in my own salt water tank. Things hatch and come out at night that you did not know were in the “live rock”. The night time aquarium is freaky.

Note that several of the segments survived, even after the aquarium keepers threw them out on the highway...

There are certain species of large worms that can live inside humans...

One such worm, Immanis Maximus, can be extremely difficult to eliminate or extract from the body.

In extreme cases the patient is put on a gurney, laying on the stomach. The physicians will prop open the patients mouth and set some raw meat just outside the mouth. When the worm starts to exit the mouth towards the meat, the physician literally grabs the worm and pulls it from the patient.

This is followed by treatments of antibiotics.

"A man may fish with the worm that hath eat of a king, and eat of the fish that hath fed of that worm..."

That hath fed of the fish.

Well, after all, it can sever the fish in two, so the name is very appropriate, wouldn't you say?
