Mr. Sowell is, as usual, right on the money. His age may not save him from said race war. In all my years, I've never seen a wider gap between folks of different races. Even the 60's didn't seem like this. Maybe there's another Watts just waiting to burst in to flames. Press refuses to address it. Seems like the administration fuels it. Be aware at all times!!! Remember with the Zimmerman verdict, we were told ahead of time that if he was acquitted, there would be race riots and it would be a long, violent summer? Sharpton and Jackson couldn't manufacture race riots then, and the summer was not as bad as some previous ones.

I don't worry about race riots. If it gets beyond more than minimal difficulty spreading to the suburbs or beyond their own ethnic borders, it'll most likely be some of those black vs hispanic tensions erupting.

Not a race war. It's a coup d'etat, aided and abetted by racial enmity, and political opponents rendered completely impotent. Militant Afro-Marxists have joined hands with self-loathing white socialists. They attained key positions in government, religious institutions, news and entertainment media, and educational systems. Civilized people are vulnerable to attack by uncivilized people. Civilized folk recognize the benefits of self-control, and do not want to return to a Hobbesian state of nature. Those who advocate gunning down the miscreants would destroy civilization in order to save it (just as the response to 9-11 has gone a long way towards destroying America). That is satisfying on an individual basis (if you are attacked, by all means unleash whatever you’ve got), but does not solve the larger problem. As a nation, we have to civilize the uncivilized, or at least control those who will/cannot control themselves. This transcends race, though demographic analysis is a useful tool for targeting the cure for the sociopath epidemic.

Government properly exists to force the uncivilized to behave, so that law-abiding individuals can be left to pursue prosperity, happiness, or whatever they please that doesn’t harm others. The problem will only get worse until we establish a government that does it’s job. This one’s fired.

In my humble opinion, a black man named Barry Burrrack Hussein Obama IS RESPONSIBLE for the tense race relations in America today. He created this because he wanted it. He does not care about these lesser black people and certainly whites or any other race. He and his one world buddies just need the war to declare martial law and gain total control.

You know what’s weird about this situation?

It has been estimated that approximately 60% of Americans are biracial or multiracial.

I didn’t know until two years ago that one of my great-grandmothers was Melungeon. Never heard of it? Neither had I. It is a name given to “tri-racial isolate” groups of the Southeastern United States. We’re definitely part black and probably part Indian, as well.

My nephew’s dad is 1/4 Cherokee Indian. So the nephew is a bit darker than me, as I take after my mother’s Irish ancestors - red hair and freckles.

Race wars don’t make any sense in the United States.

Anyone remember a few years back the story about two young white reporters who were pulled from their car and beaten? Their own newspaper didn't cover the story for a few weeks. This is happening, it's been happening for a while and hats off to Sowell and O'Reilly for having the courage to deal with it.
