Knew a guy in North Jersey who was good friends with Frank’s wife.

Rumor had it Frank was on to the Russian practice of eating a big baked potato before a night on the town.

Let’s say the night ended up with about 15 shots or more for each person, of whatever, pick your poison.

Russians knew, the guy with the big baked potato under his belt was usually the last man standing.

Don’t know if its true, but I been told by folks I know and trust.

Sinatra was one hell of a guy.

Oh, and I clean forgot, heavy pasta had the same effect.

And Frank, according to rumor, was a big pasta guy.

I don’t know, but I been told.

My relatives would go this also. I was too young to find out if it worked. (I was put to bed by 8:00 PM.)

A gentleman’s drink? What would that punk know about being a gentleman?

Class. Real Class.

Frank, Bing, (Bing had a voice that only God could create. Drummer Boy.) the Crooners. The Brat Pack. Can see their faces and remember their voices.

Cannot remember the names. My fault.

They were another time and place.

Everything passes.

Sinatra was a jerk. I play his LPs backwards just for s***s and giggles. Found cheap on eBay.

There is something about a good whiskey that makes me want to sip it.

Well, according to today’s standards, anyone who drinks more than one shot a week, is an “alcoholic.”

Newthink Freedom, beware of the Newthink.

I do admire the talent he exhibited in his early years, the big band years, before he decided that he was so cool. But he was, nonetheless, never a gentleman. Yes, he was a jerk.

Fifty years ago I heard Sinatra fans making excuses, “One must separate the artist from his art!!”

Others referred to him as “Frank Not-so-hotra”.

Sinatra once called a Jewish guy the worst possible insult to a Jew. Joe Kaplan or whoever it was busted all of Frank’s front caps with a single punch & nearly got elected mayor of Las Vegas because of it.

I must admit I still like his “Something Stupid” duet with daughter Nancy. “It Was a Very Good Year” was good, too.

Comedian Dennis Miller mentioned his meeting with the aged Frank Sinatra. He was introduced to him by mutual friend comedian Don Rickles (who is still alive!).

Miller said that Rickles told him that Sinatra had “Sicilian Alzheimer’s”, in that “The only thing he can remember are grudges.”

Was Something Stupid really a duet? It sounds like she's completely in the background.

He singing Things with Dean Martin was more of a duet.

“I think Frank Sinatra was the most hated man of World War II, much more than Hitler, because Sinatra was stateside making tons of money and surrounded by beautiful girls.” - William Manchester

“It’s Frank’s world, we’re all just livin’ in it.” - Dean Martin

Nancy was in the background, true, but she was the one I was listening to.

She also recorded “Summer Wine” & “Phaedra” with the C&W dude that same summer of 1967.

A great man or a real prick he was bigger than life. We need those occasionally.
