The world's tallest man -- 8-foot-3-inch Sultan Kosen of Turkey -- says he would like to find a comfortable car for himself and his bride.
Kosen was set to marry Merve Dibo -- who's about two-and-a-half feet shorter than he -- Sunday in the Turkish city of Mardin, the Anadolu Agency reported.
While preparing for his wedding, the Guinness Book of World Records-certified tallest man in the world told Anadolu Agency he had given up hope that he'd meet a life partner when an acquaintance introduced him to Dibo.
"Now I will have my own family and private life," Kosen said.
While saying it was "unfortunate I could not find a suitable girl of my own size," Kosen said, "but I believe I've found the person for me."
Kosen said all he really wanted now was a vehicle that can accommodate his frame so he can travel comfortably with Dibo, the news agency said.
Besides his record height, Kosen also is in the Guinness records because of his nearly 9-inch-wide hands and 14-plus-inch-long feet.

Smart Car with a sunroof?
“and 14-plus-inch-long feet.”
That reminds me of my ex-wife, the 6 foot tall crazy redhead! Gunboats!
There’s a Ukrainian guy that’s a couple of inches taller, but he refused to accept Guiness’ offer to register him because he wants his privacy.
I sympathize on the car issue.
5’18” here, (6’6” for those in rio linda)
Can’t even get IN a Chrysler Crossfire.
Can sit in a bmw mini, just can’t move my limbs.
God bless him. All he ever wanted was life’s simplest, yet greatest treasures. As my grandmother always said, “for every teapot there is a cover.” May they have many happy years together.
That would be tough even on the legendary backseats of a Jaguar. (Jags were historically designed for men over 6 ft tall, and held the distinction of having models where men that were 6’4 could sit in both the front and back seats without cramped legs)
My former boss is 6'6" and was a basketball coach. He saw one of his players (college) in a mini-Cooper. He asked the student how it was and the student said it was VERY comfortable.
Next thing you know, my boss was driving a mini-cooper. He WOULDN'T if it weren't comfortable. He still drives it today.
There are PLENTY of VERY tall, long-limbed men in this country so cars SHOULDN'T be ANY kind of an issue.
I heard he likes Bass Ale.
TTITWOP.
Anyway, here is a tall woman in very high heels.
“Gunboats”
I haven’t heard that one in years.
My new bride was feeling sorry about having to wear size 10 shoes. Instantly I said that Lady Diana wears a size 11. Guess who got lucky? That was back in 1994. Guess who breaks out the Lady Di line now and then? Yup.
Yes, I would have liked to have turned out a little taller... No, I wouldn’t want to be that far off the end of the bell curve... Happy for them that they found each other.
Orthopedic shoes. The condition which causes their extreme growth, also causes misshapen hands and feet. Sometimes painful and crippling. It also cuts their life short. Giants don’t live very long.
“People write in and they’re askin’
How do you ball?
Well, love is the answer,
And we answer ‘em all.”
Yes, and they were built with Lucas electrics wich would leave you unstarted and unlit.
A Hummer convertible ?
My eldest son (6’3”) got a Mini Cooper last year. Loves it and fits just fine. Youngest son (6’4”) was inspired to get one next. I am amazed at the leg room in those cars.
Gunboats
I havent heard that one in years.”
Well, “canoes” also came to mind. But her feet weren’t fugly. She’s 6 feet tall! Of course she had proportional feet. But she was also a crazy Irish-American redhead! I shoulda known better! 3 years of psychological pain! But, man! She was a looker!
