Many moons ago, I had to short-block one of those. Runnin’ sumbitch, if I may say so! ;)

Not to mention the sound of the diesel Ford had a few years ago. That 7.3 liter Powerstroke workhorse was awesome. I put 297,000 mile son mine before I retired her. It just purred.

But a 4 cyl with 310 horsepower isn’t too shabby.

Considering my 1989 GT with a 302 V-8 was rated at 225 HP from the factory, no, it isn't. Their base model V-6 had 305 HP a year or so ago, when I was looking at them. Of course, a four-banger, even one with 300+ HP, doesn't have the torque that the V-8 does.

That’s a Subaru?? Nice. But where are all the liberal stickers plastered all over it preaching to the world about the planet and coexisting?

I work with a guy who has an Outback that's covered with NRA and other pro-gun stickers. I'm sure he did that intentionally to make liberal's heads asplode.

I’ve driven one. It was big, nasty fun winding it up to 9K, not to mention it was insanely easy to drive tail-out (the car in question was one of the early 2.0L models).

Love mine, plus my commute includes a goodly portion of twisty mountain road.

As I say in the curves, 50 is the new 30. ;)

Back when I used to be on the Miata mailing list we had a formula for how fast you could take a corner in a Miata. It was something like Y = 2x + 10, where Y is your cornering speed in the Miata and x is the posted speed for the corner.

I remember driving I80 through Utah with my wife and seeing a corner posted at 65mph. I remarked to my wife, “I could take that corner at 140mph in this car... if it went that fast.”

My Mom bought a Miata the first year it came out and still has it.

The S2000 supposedly has a top speed of 160, and sure enough some clown had his girlfriend take a video of the speedometer while he ran it up to 157. I’m not tempted in the slightest to try it.

Mine is a ‘91, with a whole bunch of miles on it! I’m the third owner and have racked up 200K of those miles (it’s just shy of 297K at this writing), and it’s still on its original engine and transmission.

It looks pretty beat up these days, but it still runs pretty well and never fails to put a big smile on my face after I drive it hard.

Mom’s has about 175K I believe, but she doesn’t drive it all the time. Her’s is all original except the top (got ripped when a tree branch fell on it) and one window motor.

Mine is driven daily. And at least since I’ve owned it, it’s now on its fourth top; this time I finally sprang for one with a glass rear window.

In late 60’s the Torino had a stang look and the Falcon definately had the look ,, family resemblance is to be expected and it helps sell the less sporty cars... Let Chevy and Dodge stay STUCK IN THE 67-72 timeframe ... this Mustang looks great .. weighs less , will have 500hp in the GT in 2015 , IRS , a very advanced mechanical locking diff...

I’m in...

They had the current Competitors there as well, They all look dated, including the Camaro. BTW - The revised 2014 Camaro styling really sucks IMHO. I have no idea what they were thinking.
**************************************
The absolute worst is the Corvette ,, OMG it’s terrible ... why did they transplant the butt ugly Volt tail on it?? The front half is good even if the interior in the Corvette is still Chevette quality. Huge fail at Chevy ... and the Dodge boys don’t seem to have the $$$ to update the (very dated) Challenger.

Think my wife's 2013 Taurus Limited looks great, silver with black trim, with the 288HP engine, hooks up great in 0 to 60mph.

The twin turbo version with 365HP has got to kick it pretty good.

Have they come up with a Turbo Kit or Supercharger for the FR-S and the Subaru version yet?

That car needs 300HP +. It would be unbeatable with the way it handles.

I have to admit, when I first saw the Corvette, I felt the same way.

Saw one in person, granted a Z-51 LT-3 top of the line, and I actually like it. The difference in the Interior is night and day compared to the C-6.

The back end, well, I’m getting used to it. If you’re driving one, only your Competitors will be looking at the back end anyway.

Wait till fashion for aerodynamic shapes gives way, as it always does in the neverending cycle, to square angles. You’ll see fugly then!
