My favorite Grace Kelly line was when she was having a picnic with Gary Grant she asked if he wanted the breast or the thigh.

Grace Kelley was really something special. I am sure the passage of time has burnished her image but she was really special in the 50’s too.

I was in Cannes when Grace Kelly arrived for her wedding. It was quite a scene seeing her ship come in.

She made quite an impact considering she was only in a small number of films. Amazing that she walked away from it all. One of the great beauties, and one of my favorite movie stars (when movie stars were movie stars, dammit!).

Ha. That’s a laugh. Princess. Yeah, right. Kings and Queens. Dragons and unicorns.
She was very beautiful in her pictures. But I can’t see how she didn’t throw her life away.

So, you are saying being a movie star is better than having a family?
To: Attention Surplus Disorder

We always remember her, wearing a too tight girdle, smiling.
Classic Grace under pressure!

Don Rickles once said that he and Grace Kelly attended acting school together, except that “Grace was very wealthy. She didn’t show up, she just phoned it in.”
Her death in that 1982 car crash remains a mystery.

Why is it still a mystery? What sorts of things make the car accident suspicious?
To: mdmathis6
IIRC, the mystery is whether the crash itself was accidental or did she suffer a heart attack at the wheel, causing the crash.
A tragic end for a lovely lady, no mystery there. A grieving husband & three grown children left behind.

Is it true the accident occurred at the same spot as the picnic scene?
