Of all the people bidding for your pity today, Amber Langford and Annie Collinge might seem unlikely recipients. The pair, both 19-year-old students at the University of Chester, dressed as the blazing Twin Towers on Halloween. According to the Sun: Each was labelled North and South Tower and featured explosions, flames and even people jumping from windows in a shocking reminder of the 9/11 atrocity. The girls topped off their costumes with hats bearing US flags and what seemed to be the smouldering wreckage of a plane.
Its sick and stupid, to put it mildly. But the punishment is huge. Amber and Annie are going to have serious trouble getting a job now their behaviour is recorded online for posterity. Most employers google applicants before calling them back, let alone hiring them are you going to put the girl who dressed as the bloody suffering of 3,000 innocent men, women and children on your payroll?

These girls don’t deserve pity.
They knew that real people died on 9/11 when they made and wore these things.
The frightening aspect of these costumes is that they reveal a dark void within the wearers where, within a normal human being, there are emotions like love, empathy and sympathy.
“Wed never had anything happen like that before.”
Yes we did, but not on our own soil. Go back a few years and
take look at what Carter did and Clinton didn’t do. And
don’t forget Jamie Gorelick and the fire wall between the
CIA and FBI. It may have blindsided Bush but even Tom Clancy
knew something like this could happen. Even Gore tried to
get the airlines to up security at one point but that was
the airlines failure. Our own open border policy is a
continuing reminder of that same failure about to repeat
itself again and sadly it eventually will.
What a load. Crap they're teenages BFD. Mountain range being made out of an ant hill here. Everyone needs to look hard at their copy of the constitution and find "the right not to be offended" because I can't find it in my copy.
Looking for attention. They got it.
Did the Queen ever google "prince harry + party + NAZI costume"? Is Prince Harry on the royal payroll?
A friend of mine told his Obama supporting son in 2008, if Obama got elected and he lost his job he would no longer pay for his college.
Obama got elected, he lost his job, and when fall rolled around and his son wanted money for college he said no.
He told his son he was over 18, he had made his choice now he could live with it, pay your own way through college.
It is exactly as if!
Indeed. Even the "conservative" Conrad Black sings his praises. And this is even more true for JFK,who is being lionized even in the conservative press as the fiftieth anniversary of his assassination approaches.
I knew people who were on the first plane. I am not outraged by these costumes. Is there something wrong with me or do people need to lighten up?
Google is Forever.
Talk about a dark void. I have some advice for you. Get out your copy of the constitution. Look carefully at it for the “right not to be offended.” If you find it reply to me with where it is because I can’t find it in my copy of the constitution. If you can’t find it get over yourself and worry about something significant.
Not many parents would have followed through on that.
Well, Georgian, since you probably were not in NYC that day, I suspect you have as little empathy for those victims as these two degraded young women. I don’t think they will be disgraced for life, nor should they, but a nice trip to Ground Zero and Arlington Cemetery might be in order.
I meant on our on soil.
7,000 people die EVERY DAY in the USA and just about every one of them leaves behind family, friends etc. Dead is dead we’re all going there sooner or later. Nothing special about any of it. I reiterate to you what I told the other self important sanctimonious little twit: Namely you don’t have the right not to be offended. Get over yourself
Sick.

Agreed.
Can I have a photo of one of your beloved (if you know what that word means) dearly departed friends or relatives - preferably taken while they were dying in a hospital? I’m looking for a costume for next year.
