UCD defends cutbacks, but nurses fear impact on kids By Elizabeth Hume
Last April, UC Davis officials cut the Life Flight program by half, saying the reduction in service would not affect the public.
"We consolidated the Life Flight program because the second helicopter wasn't being utilized and we can serve this community better if we redirect the funds," said Carole Gan, a UC Davis spokeswoman.
If you don’t have the magazines, with ammo, the guns are just high priced clubs.
All that sounds really great.
The Bell 47 (MASH style choppers) rides at EAA were just always absurdly long but it was fun to watch them.
Learning to fly a helicopter would be the type of flying I would be interested in. There is a school in Charleston but it pretty pricey (no shock I know) but there is a fixed wing place here in Columbia that looks more affordable and going into next year just might try one of those discovery flights to see if it would be worth going after.
A biplane always looked like fun for short hops. Maybe I can catch one at some kind of EAA event.
EAA stuff begins about halfway or so here:

Great photo! Thanks for sharing.
I had to wear a parachute to fly that.
And there was NO ejector seat. if you hear:
“Bail Out Bail Out Bail Out”
1. Unbuckle seat belt
2. Manually open the canopy
3. climb out of your seat
4. Jump clear of the aircraft
5. Pull the ripcord
I kid you not.
It was a day i will never forget! :-)
Snoopy would understand
