I was always partial to the F4U Corsair myself. I went to EEA Oshkosh for the first time and saw several P51s. I rolled some 60d video on them in the mornings when they would crank up and taxi away. I saw one Corsair sitting. If it flew I missed it.
What P51 stuff I have is on my YouTube channel: http://WWW.youtube.com/tvengr4047 that I slapped together under videos.
Would rather have a Skyraider....or a P47.
oooo Thanks!
I flew a T-6 for my 50th Birthday! That was at the Warbird museum in Kissimmee. They had a B-17 and a P-51 there. I think they had a Corsair too!
Another one of my favorite places is the Museum at the Tamiami Airport. I met and hung out with Gen Paul Tibbetts there!
I plan on visiting this builder before the end of the year.

The Bally Bomber has been one man’s undertaking for over a decade now. You may have seen or heard about this project. This is the only 1/3 scale B-17. Please enjoy this site and share it with your friends.
Special note on a question that comes up.
THIS IS NOT A R/C AIRCRAFT

The Affordable Gun Act
October 23, 2013
by gunwriter
affordable care act, guns for everyone, militia, tax credits for guns
In the interest of the health and welfare of all Americans I am proposing new legislation. This new law would be called the Affordable Gun Act. The primary purpose of this law would be to insure that all Americans have access to tools for self-defense.
Seeing that life and liberty are considered unalienable rights guaranteed by the Constitution, and considering that too many Americans are victims of violent crime which results in injury and death, and since the treatment of and attempted prevention of injury and death are considered health related issues, this new law is timely and could be considered a companion to the Affordable Care Act better known as ObamaCare.
Here is how it works. By April 15, 2014 every American 21 years of age or older, who is not legally prohibited from owning a firearm, must, at the time of filing their tax return, show proof of ownership of a personal protection firearm. Like with ObamaCare, this firearm must meet certain standards; standard which have already been established by various Government agencies.
Understandably, some citizens are not financially able to procure a quality firearm that meets these requirements. To help reduce the financial burden of procuring these firearms, firearms that have been identified by the Government as being suitable for personal protection semi-automatic versions of firearms in use by military and law enforcement will be made available to American citizens at no more than wholesale cost + 10%.
Government military contracts will be amended to require the suppliers of these firearms to offer them to all citizens and this condition will apply to all future and existing Government contracts related to personal defense weaponry. In other words, if the FBI identifies a new service weapon for issue and a contract is awarded, then that same firearm must be provided by the manufacture to any American citizen who can legally own a firearm at wholesale cost + 10%.

My wife still said I have enough guns.
Trade her in for a new model.....
Me and my wife scored a Saturday ride on a b17 when it came to Owens field a while back.
I just figured I would get to look around and see it take off and land. There were two slots open and we bit the bullet. It was a great ride and 30 or so minutes was plenty. I didn’t get much due to the unsteady ride. My wife really enjoyed it.
I went back the next day just to watch some. There were delays for about an hour and a half due to sky. They loaded up the first group and started up. A few minutes later powered down then some panels got pulled.
I left but later heard all flights were cancelled. A booster pump is what I heard was the culprit.
One guy I talked to had been trying to catch a ride on it for a few years. I know he was bummed. He was really looking forward to it.
The EAA tri motor was recently here and I caught that ride. The tour it was making was the last for it. It was going to be a museum piece when it got back home.
Either would be my second pick. For some reason I was never wild about the P51.
I am on the forgiveness is easier than permission program.
Mustang was a great airplane with one major drawback. Watercooled engines are bad. One bullet in the right place and you gotta hit the silk.
The Thunderbolt was a tank....
A REALLY nice ride is a Biplane over the Florida Keys in an open cockpit. I have also done this over cape Cod.
I did that for my 50th Birthday!
For my 57th I flew a MASH Helicopter. (Talk about a rough ride!)
This year, for my B-day, I got my CCW.
If they would just give us the flying cars we were promised in the 50’s all of this would be unnecessary. :-)
My EAA Chapter is building one of these to be raffled:
Awww...that is SO Cool!
You get car when State says car ready, Comrade!!
Plan to take the bus for 20 years or so...then they lose your order...Oh Well
Life in the USSA
I get the analogy, but a plane is not something everybody needs, doctors are something everybody needs
Frankly Scarlett most people have a need to go somewhere at a reasonable rate of speed provided by the latest technology at a far greater rate than they have need for a doctor. The best example is if you really need a doctor in a hurry, after an accident (in my world that is called a screw up)you are a candidate for a flight to the emergency room.
