ATHENS, Ga.
University of Georgia police are investigating the possibility someone set up a fake Facebook account in a student's name then used it to make racially offensive posts to two minority student organizations.
The posts were made earlier this week to Facebook pages belonging to the UGA Black Affairs Council and the LGBT Resource Center. The posts sparked a protest Friday afternoon as more than 200 UGA students, faculty and administrators marched across the Sanford Stadium bridge on campus.
"I thought it was disgusting and hateful," said UGA grad student Ethan Epps. "I was embarrassed to be a part of a university where that sort of thing goes on."
More likely, it is some leftist trying to stir up anger against conservatives, a commonly used Alinsky tactic which has been growing in popularity over the past few years.
So I would not be surprised to learn the whole thing was a setup by some leftist creep, and then the outrage will disappear and the story will quickly fade away.
Agreed.
Absolutely right. Another false flag operation. Dozens of them over the past years, from nooses to notes scribbled on receipts. Easy to perpetrate, easy to remain anonymous, easy to flush down the memory hole after proven false and the natives successfully made restless.
Without seeing the posts and analyzing the grammar and word choice, I can’t say whether it was a member of the BSU or the LGBT group. But I would bet dollars to donuts that it was one of the two. I would also bet that this has been planned for several months. Alinsky, all right.
