Watch her lips carefully and you will see WITHOUT ANY DOUBT that "All this for a damned flag" is disinformation and that she really said "You brave THIS for your damned flag?".

By the way, “braved this” stems from the fact that there was a high state of alert during this 9/11 ceremony. Security threat was super high, thus they ‘braved’ the event by being there.
