NEW YORK — President Barack Obama wants to make it easier to size up the cost of college. As part of his broad plans to make college more affordable, Obama said Friday that he would push for financial aid “shopping sheets” that make it easier for families to comparison shop between schools. Federal education officials say the goal is make adoption of the form mandatory for schools to maintain access to federal aid. To address the issue, the Department of Education and the newly created Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rolled out a model financial aid form in October and asked...

Documents obtained by WND indicate the Kenyan government investigated the possibility that President Obama was born in the East African nation. Two letters purportedly written by Kenya's immigration secretary during the 2008 U.S. presidential election campaign stated that officials in Nairobi could not find evidence Obama was born in Kenya. But the official said the government had "information" that relevant birth records may have been removed or were missing. Emmanuel Kisombe, the permanent secretary in the Ministry for Immigration and Registration of Persons, wrote a letter in July 2008 in reply to a letter from the U.S. ambassador in Nairobi...

Politics: Asked last week why he's so unpopular in Texas, the only thing our president could say was "Republicans." Now that Texas has been lashed by tornadoes, his curious refusal to aid the state suggests the depth of his dislike. Two weeks ago, Texas Gov. A bad combination of hurricane rains, freezing weather and subsequent drought have made ideal conditions for the inferno...

I write this follow up in response to reader mail regarding my column DC Knows that Obama is Ineligible for Office. Even many conservative columnists and pundits seem confused on the issue of natural born citizen, even though the matter is really quite clear. History answers the question of what “natural born citizen” means, and leaves NO wiggle room for debate or wishful agenda-driven interpretations. The term was first used by the British Royal family. The question at the time was how to keep the Royal bloodline intact when members of the Royal family traveled abroad extensively, often giving birth...

Karl Rove is right. The fanaticism of the birther faction of the Republican Party is a curse that could sink the GOP. When polls show that barely 30 percent of all Republicans are convinced that President Obama is a natural born American, this is a level of sickness and weirdness in a major political party that could bring them electoral disaster. I have not been shy about occasionally criticizing President Obama when I believe it is called for, but: President Obama is as American as apple pie. First, it must be stated unequivocally, that the confusion surrounding the “birther” controversy is completely contrived. This issue is not complicated… at all. Natural-born citizens are quite simply, and forever and for all time: citizens born in America of parents who are both citizens. Was that difficult? Whether or not Barack Obama was born in Hawaii could not matter less. The unassailable fact is that his father was a Kenyan. If it’s the intention of birthers to have Obama impeached, arguing about his post-partem nexus doesn’t help their efforts. If fact, arguing about that specious aspect of this issue probably...

    11) The myth: Barack Obama wasn't born in the U.S. The facts: CNN has investigated these claims by "birthers" who say the nation's 44th president was not born in America and thus is not eligible to be president. The Obama team and the state of Hawaii released a certification of live birth that documents the president's birth on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu. This is not the original birth certificate but is a valid legal document. In Hawaii and other states, original birth certificates are not released when requested later. The certificate, officials say, allows a person born in Hawaii...

Helped out in her little venture by brother Sam, mum Julie and dad Warren, the resident ‘face artist’, Larni will be selling her balloon people for $2 each at the Lismore Baptist Church Monster Garage Sale this Saturday, October 16. The idea to hold the garage sale came after the Lismore Baptist Church hosted a visit by Pastor Joel Kopere from the...

As the lawlessness of the Obama regime becomes evident to all who can think overseas, here at home it has metastasized throughout the body of our nation. Obama and his US Marxist Party (formerly known as the US Democrat Party) are working with increased speed and vigor to destroy all that once was the United States of America, to the point of Obama’s DOJ now openly flaunting both the upholding of equal-access voting laws and engaging in blatant election fraud.

In a WBZ-TV interview last week, Onyango, 58, came across as an ungrateful free-loader. Until May, when she was granted asylum by a judge, the native of Kenya had been living in Boston illegally for about six years courtesy of Massachusetts taxpayers. Yet Onyango managed to say with a straight face that “I did not take any advantage of the system. The system took advantage of me.’’ As for living expenses, Onyango said her sustenance “comes from heaven.’’ And a monthly disability check. Onyango, and many like her, get to kick back in public housing despite deportation orders hanging over...

... Mr. Gingrich, who is mulling a bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, made the comments to National Review Online. He was quoted by the conservative Web site as saying: “What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anticolonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]? That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior.” Commenting on a recent article in Forbes by Dinesh D’Souza, Mr. Gingrich told National Review Online that Mr. Obama “is a person who is fundamentally out of touch with how the world works, who...

Citing a recent Forbes article by Dinesh D’Souza, former House speaker Newt Gingrich tells National Review Online that President Obama may follow a “Kenyan, anti-colonial” worldview. Gingrich says that D’Souza has made a “stunning insight” into Obama’s behavior — the “most profound insight I have read in the last six years about Barack Obama.” “What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]?” Gingrich asks. “That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior.” “This is a person who is fundamentally out of touch...

I’ve had Obama’s press conference on for the past hour or so, and much of the talk has been predictable — we inherited economic problems, we never said we would solve it overnight, we never said the health-care bill would solve every problem immediately, etc. Wendell Goler of Fox News asked Obama whether the mosque should be built at the site, two blocks from Ground Zero.

There have been billboards, posters, questions at White House press briefings, a long list of "jokes" about it by the mainstream media and a ton of lawsuits and other challenges – including several that remain pending. But, come on, is there really the possibility that Barack Obama doesn't meet the requirements of the U.S. Constitution to occupy the hallowed Oval Office? That question and many others surrounding the constitutional issue of presidential eligibility are being addressed in a new, free special report by WND. "The citizens of the United States have a right to know if their president is constitutionally...

"Newsweek Insults Barack Obama As an ‘Anchor Baby’[4th from the top, left column] In a list of famous Americans with a parent (or both) born in another country, the un-bylined last page “Back Story” of this week’s Newsweek listed “BARACK OBAMA (Kenyan Father)” on the page headlined: “What’s So Scary About an ‘Anchor Baby’?” The brief text below the headline, and on top of the diaper, made clear the magazine’s attempt to undermine those suggesting citizenship should no longer be automatically conferred on anyone born within the United States: •There’s a movement afoot to alter the 14th amendment, the one...

I try to ignore the birther movement unless it inducts someone important -- a congressman, for example. The (sigh) American Patriot Foundation's announcement that Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney (ret.) has signed an affidavit supporting court martialed birther Lt. Col. Terry Lakin is actually a pretty big coup. How wild is McInerney's statement? This wild: [I]t is my opinion that LTC Lakin's request for discovery relating to the President's birth records in Hawaii is absolutely essential to determining not merely his guilt or innocence but to reassuring all military personnel once and for all for this President whether his service as...

Sam Harris: Ground Zero mega-mosque will be seen "by many millions of Muslims as a victory--and as a sign that the liberal values of the West are synonymous with decadence and cowardice" In "What Obama Got Wrong About the Mosque," August 13, Sam Harris breaks with the Leftist pro-Islamic supremacism lockstep that usually prevails at the Daily Beast and offers some common sense about the Islamic supremacist mega-mosque at Ground Zero: Should a 15-story mosque and Islamic cultural center be built two blocks from the site of the worst jihadist atrocity in living memory? Put this way, the question nearly...
