Still looks good!
I think it was stolen by one Arthur “Da Fonz” Fonzarelli to jump over some barrels.
We had an RD 400 and an H2 stolen way back in 1977.
They were fun two stroke cafe style bikes.
I owned 2 more H2s...been thinking about buying one now just for S&Gs
or a YZ like King Kenny had...sure death
Did that Triumph originally have a front fender?
And what’s up with all the wiring hanging from the handlebars?
A close friend of mine that I grew up with had one of those in the early sixties, but his was maroon in color. It was a good bike. I never knew what he did with it before enlisting in the Army. Was a helo pilot Viet Nam. Shot down in March of 1968, and a couple of weeks later died of the burns in a hospital in Japan.
The Tiger, if my memory is still working... was a 500cc twin that ran on one carb. I had a Triumph Daytona, the 500cc that ran on two carbs. It was darn near impossible to keep them both tuned. But the Tiger, being a single carb, was much easier to keep running. Rather fast for the times too. Last time I saw mine it was in Gainesville Fla. in the summer of ‘73.
I had a 1969 Sunset Tripper, originally pearl white w red flames, I change to metal flake blue w silver flames.
Sold it in 1974.
What is funny is that all these years I thought is was called a Sunset Stripper......
I can’t tell what that is....
Could be for the shipping?
Probably someone trying to rewire the ignition and lights now that I think about it.
