The TEA Party was right all along when they claimed Lord mountebankin’ Owe-bama was a liar about “you can keep your plan” and “You’ll save $2500”

It was 29 just after first light this morning, and there was some wilted vegetation up in the woods-but Indian summer is coming over the weekend, they say...

The mountebank and his bunch
Scurried, but found no fix
For their website disaster-
But they’d run out of tricks

As the cancellations bring
An avalanche of complaint,
Obamacare has been covered
With colossal failure paint

His minions and rats in DC
Are lining up to jump ship-
A Titanic re-enactment wasn’t
In the ticket price of this trip...

affronted? they are my kids and do what i say! they understood the conundrum of the not enough chairs and i wanted to avoid the situation where the parents were stuck ministering to their kids while everyone else ate. their parents prepared their plates for them and then came to the dining room to eat. Neve didn’t even eat a morsel of food, bc she had had several fistfuls of skittles before dinner and was on them like CRACK thereafter. Mirabelle cleaned her plate, and made sure that it was known that Neve didn’t eat ANY of her dinner.

I always turn ON a faucet to drip slowly inside when it freezes to keep the pipes from freezing-there is always at least some water in a pipe, unless you turn off all water, and turn on every faucet until no more water comes out. I forgot to drip the water one night when we first moved here-it got down to 22, and a pipe to the pump burst-it was a bitch to find the break and repair it, too...

we just turn off the water to the outside and haven’t had any issues with a burst pipe since doing so, thank the Lord!

Sounds like a very cool trip, no pun intended. Lots of knitters go there and post pics and it’s rustic but gorgeous.

That does sound like fun. Adult conversation is such a treat when you have little ones. I’m glad you could provide a nice night out for them where they didn’t have to pay for a sitter and worry about the girls.

A for you! He has been outed on one of the possible things he could be outed for, based on his history.

I put those thick foam coats on the outside faucets in winter, to keep them unfrozen, too.

I’m trying to figure out why you guys are supposed to turn off water while we drip ours here-they even remind us on the local weather forecasts to drip at least one faucet when it freezes. Most water pipes are in concrete slab foundations here-even pier and beam ones have dense urethane blown and packed a foot or so around everything under the sub-floor, then sealed on the outside with housewrap-maybe that is the difference?

It was 24 when I awoke. My new unit is done, yay! It's quieter and I learned how to use a programmable thermostat. The dogs can finally rest now. Big dog barked for over 2 hours while they worked, even after I put him in his kennel. Little dog only barked on and off but was too scared to eat until they pulled away.
A+ for you!

Yes, I let all faucets in the house drip a bit, but again only when it is near zero outside.

We are talking about two different things.

When it gets really cold, it is recommended that you keep some water flowing in all pipes inside your house. To prevent a frozen pipe in the basement or other poorly heated area near an outside wall.

What we were originally talking about it an outside spigot, for attaching a hose. Part of preparing for winter is emptying the hose and putting it away. And then shutting off the outside spigot from the valve inside the house that is put there just for this reason.

You then drain what water is left in the pipe from the inside valve to the outside spigot.
