Too many of them have gone to DC to work for the ObaMao administration.

Turkey sales must be slow this year as everyone scrimps and saves to pay for next year’s ObamaCare debacle.

There’s nothing like advertising a “shortage” of a slow-seller to clear the shelves.

The turkeys are all in Washington DC on the tables and at the tables.

we’ve had about thirty of them at a time wondering across our front yard.

I have a gun.

This is not a problem.

Butterball announced that it will be shipping out half as many large, fresh never-frozen turkeys to retailers this year.

Most people buy frozen. I don't think this is a big deal.

I’ve been in the meat business for 30 years and I suspect this may just be a ploy to get people to buy early.

If you like your turkey, you can keep your turkey.

REALLY? How many Muslims are there who are buying their ‘halal’ turkeys? I think this is a ploy to get people to buy their turkeys! I wouldn’t take one FREE!! They decided to appease Muslims, let that be their only customers! Makes me sick!

Wouldn’t be a shortage if turkeys weren’t trying to take over every kind of meat. Turkey bacon, turkey ham, turkey sausage, turkey hamburger, turkey meatloaf, turkey pastrami, turkey corn beef..............

Another one of those holiday "scares" that never quite pan out.

Fact is, there are millions and millions of turkeys out there for the American consumer and nobody is going to be denied a turkey if they want one. Maybe a few yuppies (like myself) will have a little trouble sourcing a $80 fresh turkey from the Whole Foods but if it comes down to it, we are going to have to suck it up and buy a frozen one with the rest of the unwashed masses - even though my wife will complain loudly if I have to keep a frozen turkey defrosting in the refrigerator for a few days. We will get through this. I just know that we will.

Our local independent grocer has frozen turkeys on sale for $.69 per lb. Not sure if all of them are 16 lbs. and up. I bought one last week.

“We just don’t understand! We fed them with Michelle Obama’s dietary guidelines, and yet they all look emaciated, half-starved and lethargic. Maybe we should double the amount of Arugula and bean sprouts we feed them!”

Our soon be shut down Scout troop has a family potluck every November. We cook two really large trash can turkeys. (google it) We try to get 19-22 lb birds. We need to do three this year because the biggest we could find was 16lb. Guess one goes in the oven.

This will be the last overnighter for our Boy Scout Troop. We’re switching over to Trail Life USA.

When I was cutting meat in supermarkets we sold one case of fresh turkeys to ten cases of frozen. The demand is just not there this year.
