The pagan, ancient Greeks must’ve been onto something when they invented choral singing of this kind for their gods that the Italian Renaissance copied - they were obviously listening to crickets!
Heard it before. It’s pretty amazing.
But the guy probably went through many speeds before finding the one that sounded like human voices.

On the other hand, this is real. ;)
Supposedly it is slowed to account for the differences in life span/metabolism between humans and crickets. It is precisely slowed to the speed it would be if crickets were human.
Why would it be a hoax?
