Does Harry Reid Realize What He's Done? (Vanity)
NHN ^ | 11/22/2013 | Night Hides Not

Harry Reid just made President Obama a lame duck. With his triggering of the "nuclear option", he nuked any chances for any of Obama's legislative priorities through the 2014 elections.

Immigration "reform" -

Tax reform -

Any other Democrat priority -

You got it. On November 4, 2008, the United States of America, by a majority vote, became a Banana Republic.

I wonder how Boehner’s “there will be an amnesty vote this year” is working out for him.

About as well as Jerry Jones' prediction that the Cowboys are a Super Bowl contender.

Even Mika & Cokie appeared shaken on Morning Joe today.

It’s the last desperation of tyrants...the Obama cabal is going down and there’s nothing to stop it. And the aftermath will leave democrats damaged for quite a while.

It’s my understanding that the judges that are up for Senate confirmation will be the ones to sit on cases involving Obamacare.

This is also the first line of defense against Obama's executive orders. Tyranny has begun.

“Senate rules require a majority of senators (51) for a quorum.”

And “At this point in time, what possible difference could it make” for any Republicans to show up or not? If they don’t show or only vote present anything that is passed is on the RATS so that they can reveal their true selves.

Now the question is, what is their 9 month game plan to secure power?

Simple. Continue to stack the courts, cheat in next year's elections, sue states who try to implement things like voter id, enlist the media to assist with swaying opinions in local elections, use the IRS to shut down opponents' fundraising, use the NSA to smear GOP candidates, etc.

These all worked last time... should work even better this time.

Dems will vote to change the rule back after the ejection and before GOP takes over. Bank on it.

Fine by me, that would mean two things:

1. They know they lost the Senate.

2. They know gridlock will reign the last two years of Obama's Presidency, and by extension kill the candidacy of the Democrat nominee in 2016. Whether it will be Hillary or Fauxcahontas, they won't be able to run away from the incompetent debacle that is the Obama Presidency.

Of course they will. But the precedent for changing the rules with 51 votes is set. So the Reps should just eliminate the filibuster all-together.

51 votes to repeal!

Mr. Reid is following orders to offset Great Leader’s disapproval numbers.

Rush was reading this yesterday and saw that it is a TEMPORARY ruling. It is ONLY for this term or something like that.
Then, it goes back to what it has been.

How they can do this, I dunno...

We have NO government anymore. It’s all just another mob that took over our nation’s capital and are spending OUR money.

You left out foreign treaties, which will now sail through the Senate.

Yeah, funny thing about that: no group in power ever thinks they’ll be out. But they ALWAYS are-—even the Soviets found that out.

Like they had a chance anyway?

Next step — ZeroCare to be applied to everyone, just to make it “fair”.

If you can’t nuke ‘em, kill ‘em off with 0bamacare. Starve them and refuse them care.

"The Federalist" from cover to cover, and back again.

Might be time to revisit Mark Levin's "Men in Black" too.

Just heard McCain on local radio saying how *upset* he is about this. Went on to say that there are some things that come up in the senate that *require* bipartisanship and this will make it much harder to do. Went on to say that republicans are still banded together because of 0bamacare. Sure, he really stood behind Ted Cruz didn’t he?
