As someone already told you the other day, the Soviets just liked to kill people. Look up the tragic story of Colonel Kuklinski, a traitor to the Warsaw pact, whose family members were systematically murdered in the West, long after he spilled what he had to spill to the CIA.

JFK-Bay of Pigs=1400 killed or captured to spend the rest of their lives in one of Castro's prisons.

And THAT is exactly what got him killed!

Something I hadn’t realized until today was that there was no Vice President, until LBJ was elected and was inaugurated in 1965, when Humphrey became VP.

Until the 25th Amendment's adoption in 1967, that was true every time the VP became President, resigned, or died. The office remained vacant until the start of the next term. Under Section 2 of that amendment, the President nominates a new VP who takes office if confirmed by the House and Senate. This was done twice during Watergate.

LBJ had a clue that he was going to be dropped from the ticket in ‘64, sooooo......

So, why just quit in '68? Was he also behind RFK's assassination? Was it Gene McCarthy's insurgency that made him quit?

As someone already told you the other day, the Soviets just liked to kill people.

But they never did it senselessly, without reason. In the case of Col. Kuklinski, the case was effectively made for other potential defectors.

The Soviets were calculating and they were intelligent. They didn't act without regard for their own best interests. And assassinating an American president was fraught with great risk...but without any meaningful benefit.

Further, for purposes of argument, let's stipulate they DID do it. In which case, they never would have involved Oswald -- with his direct connection to the USSR. They weren't stupid.

This isn't the stupidest theory I've ever about the assassination, but it's close. It's one notch above the theory that Kennedy was killed to cover up the existence of UFOs at Roswell.

Anyone who thinks that Jack Rubenstein could have possibly been a mob hit man or political assassin is not a serious person, and is completely ignorant of the facts.

Keep pimping these silly conspiracy theories though; the left LOVES it. It allows them to ignore the fact that JFK was murderded by a Castro-loving, capitalism-hating commie. If Oswald were alive today, he would feel completely at home at an Occupy Wall Street rally.

I’m reposting this from the other thread:

Here’s a real good page, at least in my opinion.

http://oswald.jfkassassination.net/shots.htm

House Select Committee on Assassinations,

47% ear-witnesses heard gunshots from Texas Schoolbook Depository Building

20% ear-witnesses heard gunshots from Grassy Knoll

29% ear-witnesses heard gunshots from “Other”

(by the way, all 3 of the above means 96% of the witnesses think the bullets came from 1 direction)

4% ear-witnesses heard gunshots from “Two Directions”

Also, per that webpage, 81% of witnesses reported hearing 3 shots. 5% say more than 3 shots.

I just find this info above rather persuasive, I don’t blame anyone for 2nd guessing what happened, it’s easy to have suspicion, I’m not set in my ways but the above data certainly makes me doubt at a minimum, there was more than one gunman.

So didn’t mean to resurrect this but it is important.
