Are U.S. Boarder Patrol Officers being Phased Out of Existence? Why even hire or train?

I often wonder why the U.S. Government is still spending money to hire, train, arm and manage those who are acting to guard our country's borders, when the Government acts to obstruct, prevent or penalize these same guards when acting to perform the presumed duties of their job description? This is not new. I recall such events back in the W years. On his last full day in office, George W. Bush issued commutations for U.S. Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. These were commutations, not full pardons. The commutations served to end the jail time on March 20 2009. Ramos was serving an 11 year sentence, and Compean a 12 year sentence. They were convicted of shooting and wounding Osvaldo Aldrete Davila (who was unarmed) in El Paso County, Texas. After the shooting, the officers were accused of disposing of shell casings, lying to their supervisors, and filing a false investigative report. They will remain convicted felons and face the ongoing restrictions accorded that status in terms of gun ownership, employment etc. The entire prosecution fanfare was initiated at the behest of the Mexican government. The dispute was whether or not these agents had been unfair and torturous to the illegal immigrant.

More recently, days ago this November of 2013; 100 illegal aliens boldly walked up to a group of Border Patrol Officers and began pelting them with rocks, sticks and full water bottles, along with curses in Spanish and English. After absorbing the abuse for over an hour, reinforcements finally arrived to support the Border Patrol. Most of the illegals simply ignored the shouted demands of the officers to 'go back' across the boarder, mainly because of this group of violent noisy rabble rousing supporters that wedged itself in between Officers and the strolling invaders. In the end, no one was arrested.

News has circulated throughout the South and Central American lands that the U.S. Border has a very soft underbelly. News has circulated that top politicians in the united states support the idea of illegals being able to just walk right in, and set right down. This includes repeated statement by Obama that seem to encourage the attitude of rebellion in the quise of reclaimation. One side of the government hires these people, gives them suits, guns, expensive training, makes them and their families lethal targets. While the other side of the same government says in effect "don't worry about it, I got your back, see?" We are welcoming people into this country who by definition, are okay with picking and chosing which laws to obey or not obey. Ask a scholar of Roman History how that approach ended.

Boarder?
What the hell does any of that have to do with boarders?

Are they renting rooms too cheaply?

Boarding houses pretty much went out of style fifty years ago.

What the hell, man?

I hope so. How many boarders do people get these days?

Do bed-and-breakfast places count?

BwaHAHA!! A friend of mine has seen immigrant houses with a dozen or more couches in the living room. All are beds, at night.
