A man has been stabbed in Virginia, a shoplifter has been shot by cops in Chicago and brawls have broken out across the nation as shoppers clash in a scramble for the best Black Friday bargains.
Chaotic scenes at several Walmart stores have already been filmed and posted to YouTube, revealing the madness that has become a tradition the day after Thanksgiving.
In one of the most violent incidents yet, a police officer responded to the scene of a shoplifting at a Kohl's store in Romeoville, Illinois just after 10pm on Thursday to see the alleged thief dragging another officer along with his car. The responding officer shot the driver to stop him.
Police Chief Mark Turvey said at a news conference that the injured officer had headed into the store when a man ran out, and the officer chased him to his car.....

ROMEOVILLE — A Romeoville Police officer shot a man and another officer was injured Thursday night while trying to stop three Joliet men suspected of shoplifting at a Kohls store in the southwest suburb.
Police received a call from store security about shoplifters about 10:10 p.m. Thursday, according to a statement from Romeoville police.
Two officers arrived on the scene and confronted 51-year-old Robert Russell, who was trying to flee the store, located at 261 S. Weber Road. The officers chased Russell, who jumped into the passenger seat of a Pontiac Sunfire, police said.
One of the officers caught up to the car on foot, and while the officer attempted to arrest Russell, of the 500 block of Francis Street in Joliet, he closed the car door on the officers arm, police said.
The officers arm was still stuck in the cars door when the driver pulled away, dragging the officer, police said.
His backup officer ordered the driver to stop, but the car kept moving. The backup officer fired three or four shots into the car, hitting the driver in the left arm, police said.
I like Amazon gift cards. I give them every single year in amounts large and larger.
Everyone loves them, gets what they want, and I am very relaxed for the Christmas holidays.
I can kick back and have my bourbon. ~And to the person who castigated me over drinking “stinky” bourbon, you haven’t had Elijah Craig. It’s the drink that George Washington preferred.
You keep to your Nightrain or Wild Irish Rose and I will stick with my preferred booze.
I shop at my keyboard. It does not give me any trouble.
“Wife Unit” braved the wilds of Wally World last night and spent about 3 hours over there to buy a bunch of crap...
But hey...I chose not to go and subject myself to the madhouse over there...Sure, you might be able to save a bunch of money, but is it worth the time and effort to stand in these checkout lines for that long...
Granted, if stupid stuff starts happening in our area as far as criminla activity, I might have to bend a little...
Its good to be in a atate that still values your right to keep and bear arms...Even though you have to jump through a few hoops to get the license (permission slip), yeah, I know...I know...

Black Friday is so stupid.
Shop online and you will have more energy and be safer.
Why go out among completely depraved individuals who would stab somebody over some plastic electronic gadget that will be busted in a month? These people are stupider than stupid
Walmart was like a ghost town yesterday, but there were stacks and stacks of stuff that couldn’t be purchased until today. I was bummed because I saw a sewing tote that really looked nice.
All things considered.... I’m curious how long it is until the designation “Black Friday” is deemed a racist term that has to be changed.
Ya think? We’re already out numbered and it shows at the polls.
