Yes and unfortunately all major internet portals are in control of statists and progressives.

As access to information increases, so does access to disinformation.

Yep, and people tend to search for and review information that agrees with them and then stop when they find it.

Winning the argument, in the moment or in the many replays, is often more important than having the right answer, even more so about deeply personal and emotional things.

Disinformation is handy to have, even irresistible, especially in politics with all that money and power at play.

Except for a rare few, part of our rationality will always sing: "Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies..." and will want to shoot the messenger that breaks the spell.
