Not analog but I bought the radio shack $25 antenna (looks like a black square 2”high by 12” long by 12” wide) and was able to get all my local channels in digital quality plus a bunch of junk channels like I listed in my previous post. Got rid of it when I found the comcast split thing.

Yes, yes more than ever.
If you don’t live in the boonies any old cheap antenna will work.
TV’s less than about 5 years old already have a digital tuner.

Site to check out: http://www.tvfool.com/

"So what? You cannot watch them unless you pay.

Some sites are like that, others are BS scams that try and get you to download virus stuff... others though are just like YOUTUBE, simply click and play.

You need to get a set top converter to recieve over the air TV with an analog set. Wal-Mart has them for about $40.

How long have you been using the splitter? (I wonder about the likelihood of the provider finding out- though it shouldn’t be a problem to look out and remove it if I see one of their trucks in my driveway.)

Could be a basic service they don’t advertise when you pay for internet only but...been doing for nearly a year now with no issues. Wire is in my living room and, just like the late 80’s when you would split a signal to have cable on multiple TV thruout the house, I used one of my old splitters to do it.

I used to use movie4k, but dailyflix lets you know what quality the movie is and has as good selection.

Will check out that sports link, I use http://myp2p.cc/index.php?sport=NFL but the quality is usually poor.

I like Korean programs so I spend a lot of time and no money at DramaFever and Viki.

That’s what I do, and I have a broadcast digital HD antenna, plus internet.

I didn’t want to pay for cable (or Sat when I moved).

Yes, definitely Netflix you should get. I would probably go with HuluPlus over Amazon Prime, although Prime is excellent for movies (much better than even Netflix).

Actually you need a 5-2.4ghz splitter with a -3DB tap on it to separate the Cable TV from Cable Internet Service signals in the Chicago market. Even with the splitter, no joy.

In this market (at least where I am ...) they've moved all TV channels up to the digital tier out of reach of a TV being able to scan for and find them.

do you like foreign drama’s?

“Isabel” is from Spain and in it’s second season. It looks like a medieval power mad queen is assuring her seat on the throne. “There is only one queen, and it’s me”

In the second season it says “Every queen needs a king”

....

I haven’t seen it yet but it is apparently the #1 show in Spain. You can watch it at dramafever.com just like a lot of shows from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Spanish-speaking countries and others.

Can’t get anything on it but ‘404’s.
May be my hosts manager.

With DSL I pretty much have to download instead of stream.

Our landline just jacked up the price. I’d like to cut that bill but being out in the country with iffy internet, cell phone, etc. I just can’t bring myself to do it.
