If you live in California or Georgia you cannot remain anonymous once you claim the money.

She doesn’t have a choice to remain anonymous in Georgia.

With that kind of money, one can easily move elsewhere and become anonymous.

What you can do, is create a Blind Trust.

The attorney claims the prize on behalf of the Trust, and the Trust sets up an arrangement with the winner.

Many big lottery winners wind up in bankruptcy court within a few years of winning.

True. Only six states allow lottery winners stay anonymous South Carolina, Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, and Ohio.

I don’t know if I would told anybody.

I read an article once that said that some states allow a corporation to claim a big prize while others don't.In those states if you win big the first step is to hire a lawyer (an honest one that can keep his/her mouth shut) to set up a corporation and have it claim the prize.

The Georgia half would be likely less than $120 million AFTER taxes. The feds only withhold 25% and winner will likely owe 39% or so.

He is donating the whole amount to charity...

If I won anything more than 5 million in a lottery I'd give the excess to charities.I'd keep about 2.5 million of the 5 million and the other 2.5 would go to various family members.

They say she’s married, so that’s out; I wonder if she needs a personal male hooker....?

I found out later it was a two winning ticket so those numbers make more sense.
